What Is 5G Technology and Advantages & Disadvantages?
5G is a fifth-generation technology in telecommunication for broadband, internet, and network. It is a successor technology of the 4g network which is widely in use now. 5G is available in few countries as of now but the prediction of its makers says that around 2 million users will use 5G by 2025 worldwide. For 5G, the service area is divided into small geographical cells. It is a wireless network communicated by radio waves with the local antenna to the said geographical area. Under this, if a mobile device will move from one area to another then it will automatically be handed off seamlessly to the current area cell.
- Greater speed in transmissions.
In 5G, people will able to enjoy very high-speed data in which accessing or sharing data will be easy and very fast. As compared to 4G network its speed will be much faster.
- Greater number of connected devices.
The biggest problem with the current networks is, where there is a higher number of connectivity then automatically speed of internet in all the devices become slowly, but in 5g the speed won’t be a problem even when there is a large number of connected users is present.
- Lower Latency.
In simple words, latency is the time that elapses since we give an order on our device until the action occurs. There will be a lower latency in the 5G network as the network will take and follow commands at a very high speed.
The disadvantage of 5G technology
- Radiofrequency
Under a radiofrequency lot of things takes place like satellite network. In a lot of countries, there is less availability of more radio frequency technology, that’s why it will be a problem to place and work with this network.
- Security concerns.
Security is a concern even now also as privacy on the internet is an issue. If this type of fast technology came then it will be more concerning for individuals as well as companies.
