Health Sector after COVID 19
Since the covid 19 started, a wide gap has been seen between the government policy and the actual situation. The emergence of coronavirus disease has led to drastic changes in the health sector. Many emergency protocols were also implemented to control the spread of the virus. Bold steps like a restriction to non-essential jobs were also placed on the public. By the end of April 2021 states like Maharashtra, Delhi, and Uttar Pradesh faced a complete lockdown of 15 days and later extended to 7 June.
A rise in the number of covid 19 patients was seen due to the careless behavior of the public as well as the government authorities. India is a vast country with a population of 138 crore people as counted in 2020. Providing vaccines to every Indian is indeed a very complex task. By the same time, Indian government authorities also had to maintain a good bond with neighboring countries for future needs.
The Hon’ble Prime Minister of India stated that the allocated budget for the health sector will show commitment towards the sector. He also stated that the private sector was much more successful in bringing out the country from the mouth of the pandemic. To keep the country healthy the government is continuously trying. Many doctors, nurses, and frontline workers had experienced the worst phase of their profession during this pandemic.
Families of patients who died are complaining about the unresponsive behavior of the medical authorities. In many cases, the whole family has disappeared within a few days.
In states like Punjab, vaccines are not provided free most of the public is furious over the government authorities.
Lack of oxygen, ventilators, and beds has also been faced by the patients.
Consequences of COVID 19 faced by the public are negative as lack of many necessary resources was seen by the whole nation, during the COVID period.
